US juice bar giant Jamba is heading down under, with branches opening in Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast this month.

The brand, formerly known as Jamba Juice, says it offers “freshly blended fruit and vegetable smoothies on-the-go, made-to-order bowls, freshly squeezed juices and shots, boosts and bites.”

“I am absolutely thrilled to offer the people of Australia a unique experience with our smoothies, juices, snacks, ice cream treats and delicious bowls,” said Danny Cheung, managing director of franchisee Newford QSR Group.

“Jamba is a brand that is loved worldwide.”

The company is originally from California and has been around for 30 years.

In addition to the Melbourne city location, the company is also considering locations in Doncaster, Knox, Southland, High Point and Fountain Gate.

Potential site locations in Queensland are also on the map, including Carindale, Mt. Gravatt, Chermside, Harbor Town and Brisbane CBD.

Unfortunately, Sydneysiders will likely have to wait until 2025 before the brand is likely to set up shop there.

As of March 2023, Jamba had nearly 800 locations operating in the US, as well as in the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea and Thailand.
