A serious accident on the Kwinana Freeway is causing huge headaches for commuters during peak hours, with several lanes blocked due to emergency services.
A male motorcyclist in his 20s has been taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital after getting off his bike when it was hit by a car.
A spokesperson for St John WA said the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident was reported at 7:22 a.m. Wednesday morning. Photos of the scene show long lines of traffic in the northbound lanes after Berrigan Drive in South Lake.
Police, ambulance and towing services are on site.
Adding to the drama was a second minor crash on the nearby highway about 20 minutes later, but no one needed to be taken to hospital.
Motorists are advised that the area is very busy and they should drive with caution.
