Lisa Wilkinson will reportedly not return to Channel 10 next year, despite still being on the network’s payroll.

The 63-year-old journalist and former presenter of The Project was not featured in Channel 10’s content line-up at next year’s Upfronts event last week.

A senior executive at Paramount believed this indicated she would not be returning to our screens.

“This could mean she is done,” they told The Sydney Morning Herald on Friday.

However, the network reassured that the veteran presenter is in talks to develop “other projects” with them.

Wilkinson shocked viewers when she quit The Project in November last year.

In her farewell speech at the end of November, Wilkinson said “relentless targeted toxicity” she claimed to have received from sections of the media after her infamous Logies speech had taken its toll.

Wilkinson came under fire when her speech caused the trial of Bruce Lehrmann, the man accused of raping Brittany Higgins, to be postponed.

“The past six months have not been easy, and the brutal targeted toxicity from some parts of the media has taken its toll not only on me, but on the people I love,” she continued.
