Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire was criticized for mocking Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s infamous lawsuit on Halloween.
The 37-year-old Pineapple Express star’s allegations appeared in recently released documents from Amber’s therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes, which were used as part of last year’s high-profile defamation case between the actress and her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
After poking fun at Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s infamous lawsuit by dressing up at the ex-couple’s house on Halloween, Schitts Creek star was served a mega-pint of slack.
For those who don’t know, Depp filed a defamation lawsuit after Heard described himself as a “public figure” for domestic violence in a 2018 op-ed. The Washington Post.

The Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory actor also claimed that Heard pooped on his side of the bed and later blamed it on their dogs.
A now-deleted series of photos shows Hampshire – who starred as Stevie in all six seasons Schitts Creek – dressed as Depp. No, not Jack Sparrow Depp. But courtroom, sleek ponytail in a nice suit Depp.
Meanwhile, a friend of hers dressed up as the courtroom version of Heard and put on her saddest face – a face for which the actress was often ridiculed on social media during the highly publicized trial.

In each photo, the duo carried a fake poop – a clear nod to Depp’s grotesque accusation against his ex-wife.
At one point, Hampshire even held a wine bottle. However, it is unclear whether that was a reference to Heard’s accusation of assault or to the viral meme during Depp’s interrogation, in which Heard’s lawyer asked if he poured himself a “mega pint of red wine.”
Whatever it was, social media users were not happy.

A third person said: ‘It really is a special kind of depravity to keep the costumes going a year and a half later. @emilyhampshire clearly felt the need to take on this task.”
Someone else fumed: “I understand you’re upset because you’ve been in the industry most of your life and people still don’t know who you are, but doing this is insensitive, bulls** because you admire a man who wanted to fuck his wife’s corpse won’t win you an Oscar.
