Wooroloo locked down after man shot and gunman flees

A man was shot in a town on the outskirts of Perth on Saturday.
He was flown to Royal Perth Hospital with gunshot wounds as the gunman fled and police sealed off the area for the safety of residents.
The incident happened after midday near the intersection of Needham Road and Marauba Cl at Wooroloo, WA Police said.

“St John WA and the RAC Rescue helicopter responded to the injured man,” police said.
“Police remain in the area, including the Tactical Response Group and other specialist units.”
One man allegedly involved in the shooting has been taken into custody and police have been canvassing the area to determine if others were involved.
“While investigations continue into other people believed to be involved, the search of the area has been completed and there are no further immediate public safety concerns,” police said.
“Any suspicious activity should be reported to police immediately.”
